Cherry Beach in the cold

3 years ago on a cold, cold day exploring Cherry Beach I wandered with friends around Cherry Beach, T&T, Polson Pier, and lower Jarvis (I think!). It was a crisp and perfect winter day for shooting. Happy 2013

Every year the TLR Club celebrates the first day of the new year meeting early in the morning for some photographic action. This year we visited the Junction Triangle to check out Solways Metal and Cadet Cleaners. When I've recovered I'll post some more photos!                                

The Harvey Woods Building – an authorized visit

On Saturday (November 24),  3 photographer friends from the Residue Group (link no longer is valid), Peter Brickell, Rimma Skeini, Kevin McBride, and I accepted an invitation to photograph the Harvey Woods Building on Vansittart Ave in Woodstock ON. Authorized opportunities to shoot vacant buildings  are rare and stranger still we were given unlimited access!  We were only asked to mind the broken glass and to not lock...

Goodbye to the Lake Shore Motel Strip

Last year, on a rainy Sunday afternoon,  by chance the TLR CLub and I photographed what was left of Casa Mendoza, the Beach and Shore Breeze Motels on Lake Shore Blvd. It turns out it was the only weekend to photograph the motel strips' infamous Casa Mendoza because on the Monday it was literally gone. The Shore Breeze and Beach Motels were sealed up for another demolition day(s)...
