Guelph, Ontario indie label, Aural Tethers has just dropped their first release, AT001 – The Fear of Landing on Water by Fossil Hunting Collective.

My friends Aural Tethers have just dropped their first release, AT001 – The Fear of Landing on Water by Fossil Hunting Collective.

“This seven track release boasts a sharp sonar for evocative and elegant ambient terrain. Patient waves of effects and dissonance calms the shores that shelter inflections of post rock sensibilities. [..] Snippets of field recordings and found sound are splayed out through TFOLOW, wistfully embedded spoken word segments guide you along through the long halls of the fossil hunting collective’s authentic brand of spacial terrain’.”

Full disclosure, I designed the logo for the label and am also currently their resident album artwork artist. So I am biased but speaking truths when I suggest that you won’t regret the effort of clicking over to Bandcamp to stream (or buy!) the album and lose yourself in a sonic induced daydream.

In addition to the contemporary digital download, Aural Tethers also released a collectable, limited edition copy of the album on mustard yellow cassette.
