The Body Politic pieces were inspired by a call for works for Body as (ready to be re-) made, guest curated by Pam Patterson at the Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts in 2002.
“Botox/Lipo fantasy Frankenstein freaks are presented in Richelle Forsey’s images. She parodies body-as-commodity, made to order, ready for pick-up, appropriately sized and gendered-generated, animated and manipulated. It is a playful and yet troubling comment.”
