The latest addition to my State of Sleeping Plants series is the common daylily or as it’s known to botanists and horticulturalists the Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus.
It was cold and grey almost every day, but I ventured out to capture the aftermath of the 2013 ice storm that impacted Central and Eastern Canada leaving many in the dark and cold for upwards of a week.
Here are my favorite photos of Etobicoke, Bellwood County and in between (through the windshield of the van), covered in ice.
When the light is right, who wants to be inside working at their computer? Not me, I always prefer to be out shooting than one with my desk, eyeball deep in post-production work!!! But then it was time to edit and produce new work(s) for my State of Sleeping Plants series.
Here is a selection of the series new and old to date.[nggallery id=16]
